This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

And they're off. At least I see a few names that are familiar. Wow, the whole field has changed a bunch. Lots of new faces and that's good for the race.
I'm looking forward to watching this year's run.
Hi to all of the old Cabela's crew.

Wow, hi F! Every time I see you post I think back to the “good ol days”! Lots of good memories. So much has changed in so many ways (for Cabelas too, of course!)
How is life treating you these days? I hope all is well. Good to see you in the forum as always.
Looking forward to a great race!!

Always a joy to hear from you, F. I hope the fish are biting and the mosquitoes not. Stick around a little this year, we miss you, too.
Breeze.

So good to 'see' you in the forum. Sure do miss the old Cabela's days.
For all our new members or even some older ones, let me introduce you to FRANK! He was the mod on the forum Cabela's had on their site. Back in the day when Cabela's was a major sponsor of the Iditarod.
A lot of friendships were formed back then. Of course, new friendships are still being formed.
