I mentioned to Intense Karin on FB that she was my pick for ROY. She replied that she thought there were many other rookies who would beat her handily. I told her to trust me as I am a Professional T.T. and ROY picker.
I know it's Really, Really, Early, but so far so good as she is leading rookie. GO INTENSEKARIN

She's certainly surprised me with this fast going, I'm cheering for her to take the rookie title.

She's got a 5 hour 18 minute lead on Chad Linder right now. Both evidently taking their 24 at Takotna. Should make for an exciting second half Rookie Run. Karin seems to have a strategy that she is sticking to.

Karin now traversing that large section of trail between Ophir and Iditarod. Gonna be nervous and anxious these next few hours. Chad Linder seems to be Karin's closest competitor for ROY possibility.
Haven't heard anything about Chad, but Karin seems to be very level headed and taking it all in stride as evidenced by the audio interview. A good attitude, I think.

Karin might not garner Rookie of the year honors, but she is she's a forum member and one of us, and we are proud of her rookie run. And she might still catch Harry and Chad! IT COULD HAPPEN!
