Watching a lone check point volunteer clean up the dog lot on the Fish River...after a week of frenzy, the second to last musher just left this morning, Josh Robbins. The last musher is still resting in Golovin...Sean Williams, not sure what his status is...always sad to see another race come to a close...also sad to see just one or two Iditabuds online these days too...

Martin Busers Facebook page said he was going to try and leave Golovin again this morning. While there, his dogs have been happy and he’s been giving the kids sled dog rides hence why his tractor has been going in circles.

Unfortunately, didn't work out. Only three teams on trail, though Reid GPS has been resting at safety for two hours. Cathry is also there..

...and now Jeff Reid is stalled in Safety. He left Safety at 10:15 a.m. but only got about half a mile before turning back.

Cathry came through at 12:15, left, but also turned back after a short distance (wondering about a ground blizzard?).

Finally Josh Robbins showed up at 3:30 p.m and stayed a couple of hours.

Jeff tried to leave at 5 pm, was passed by Josh, but still only got about half a mile.

Cathry left just behind Josh, also passing Jeff, but Jeff's dogs didn't take the bait, so he turned back again and has been there since 6 pm (nearly 4 hours at the time of writing this, just under 11 hours after first arriving in Safety).

Cathry just finished - dogs confused coming into the chute and not keen, but they got them under the arch where they proceeded to bark up a storm.

They did not award Cathry the red lantern, so there's still hope for Jeff. .

<Sounds like Jeff's dogs are Travis' puppy team.>

Strike that. It was Cathry's team that had Travis' puppies in it.
