This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Hey Gang
Checking in for Iditarod 2024, who’s around? It seems awfully quiet here for 10 days before the race.
So who else is going to follow along here as usual?
Anyone got their top ten picks?
I guess as years ago by we get less and less and fewer ‘buds are around which is kind of sad. I guess old school forums such as this have lost popularity to facebook etc (although apparently the kids all use instagram nowadays.
Be good to see as many of us back for another year.
Love
Tangles

Heia from Norway.
This forum will always be the "go to" during the race, even though it's a bit old school

I'm here! Have been busy with grandkids and feral cats but I should be around most of the race! I miss our old school dudes, though. Lance, Martin, Jeff.....guess that's just cause I'm old too!

I'm here also. Had a knee replacement a couple weeks ago and sometimes it hurts. It's getting better but not fast enough for me, impatient person that I am.
Good to see the 'buds that that are checking in here.
All my children have four feet and fur.
