This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Interesting article, yes, and it covers a lot of ground. My sense going into the article and coming out of it is that Dallas may be the world's greatest corporate dog manager, but IMHO, we lost the world's greatest dogman when Lance died.

Seems like a pretty good idea to me. Give it a try. Nothing to lose.

Nice interview with Pete K's wife Bethany and Richie D's wife Emerie (and new baby) on the Saturday Night Iditarod Update KTUU. Their interview starts at around the 3:11 mark. They flew out to Grayling to surprise them with a visit

Poor Jason. This responsibility must weigh so heavy on his heart. He's carrying not just Lance's ashes, but some of his mom's ashes as well.
