This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

...so, I can say that watching the finish is part of school curriculum, yes?
It's English, Geography, sport (kind of), math (us are using some weird units
)

Seppala was half Norwegian or something, they do have a memorial race called after Seppala here
and the serum run to Nome is kind of history, special these days. Looks like I have a plan
For ETA, 9-10 hours from WM? so 10 hours from now

Thomas is due to leave in about 20 minutes i think. It’s normally 24hrs from when they leave
elim. This year being slower, thinking it will be 11hr run from here to finish
