This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

That conjures up some interesting mental pictures!
And happy birthday to Silje! She must be getting quite grown up by now.
That sure does, wonder how that translates to english?
Happy Birthday Silje. Brownies sound good!

Ok, stupid phone..and a bit funny. I guess the school will always give that advice
Should we try with drive instead perhaps...mind you, there is a high school next door to their primary/elementary school...
Thank you so much, ”little” Silje is 12 years old and is 5 feet and 3 inches long according to Google (161 cm). Which means she will be taller than me before the summer is gone

and for first time in many years I will not be home to watch it with you
But good morning everyone hope the trail between WM and Nome is much nicer this year to the mushers and dogs.

Morning Forumites from a sunny & brisk morning in MN!! A brisk 17 with windchill of 2 nothing compared to what that coast can deliver but gets me in the mood! How exciting to have a Redington racing toward the finish in the lead!!! Godspeed to you Ryan, such a humble, nice guy, couldn't be more deserving. Sure hope the winds don't mess with him too much
