This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

The YQ start is coming up. Let's all meet in the chatroom for a party. Do you know where/when it will be broadcast? Also, which time zone? I'm afraid I'm rather clueless this year, but I'm actually free on Saturday, and it sure would be fun to watch/listen to the start with my Iditabuds.

I think that Dwayne Beals will be Facebook livestreaming in his group. You can find it here (hopefully):

Hasn't the YQ had a tracking function in the past? If there's one this year, I can't find it.

Great, 11 AM is 9 PM here so I guess I will be able to join the party!
I think 11 AM AKST is 1 PM MST, 2 PM CST and 3 PM EST.
I'm pleased to see YQ are still using trackleaders, it's a great tracker..
