Woo hoo! Brent is less than half a mile from Dawson, flying along at 9.2 mph... Looks like his 11+ long run didn't break any dogs. <beam>

Has anyone heard anything and Laura and Ed's scratch? The YQ site hasn't done a press release and Laura's handlers haven't posted anything yet so I was just wondering if anyone knew anymore. Thanks

Laura Neese and Ed Stielstra Scratch
Tuesday, February 7, 2017

This afternoon at 3:50pm, veteran musher Laura Neese (bib #11) scratched from the race in Pelly Crossing with 13 dogs. She did not feel she would be able to continue and keep her team in the top physical condition she would like to see them in.

Rookie musher Ed Stielstra (bib #12) also scratched in Pelly Crossing at 3:51pm with 14 dogs. His decision was in support of Laura Neese’s future racing plans and goals.

Dug up a couple videos fans shot of Wild and Free pulling into Dawson. No clue what happened with the Yukon Quest's live cam footage .. guess they weren't able to save/archive the live cam footage of Brent's actual arrival to You Tube. The 6:12 minutes archived live Dawson video they put up on You Tube doesn't show Brent's arrival, just shows folks standing around in the bitter cold. LOL.

On this 1 hour long video, slide/move the blue bar thingie to the right to -6:43

I don't understand why Ed had to withdraw as well? Really wanted to see how he'd do! :( How is his withdrawal supporting Neese's future Iditarod? Unless his dogs were coming up lame as well? Confused....

I wonder if some of his dogs are going to be on her Iditarod team? Maybe going to go train that team together the next 3 weeks??? Just speculation.

Thanks Dilli! I was just about to go searching. I missed him coming in last night by about 4 minutes, but sounds like I didn't miss much. :D
