Wildfire situation Two Rivers

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Wildfire situation Two Rivers

Stuart Fire 2 in the Two Rivers/ Chena Hot Springs area is looking less threatening, but Aliy and Allen and the SP Kennel have evacuated to Bridget and Scotts' near Ester. Mile 16 to Mile 34 ( roughly ) have had the evac ORDER of yesterday lifted for now, but the area is still under an evacuation watch.
Prayers for a successful and safe resolution to this bad situation , for everyone.
