This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Do you think ice and heart will train for the Iditarod next year, wonder if they have any of the shorter races under their belts yet?
All my children have four feet and fur.

I don't know about Ice, but I hear Hart is moving outside, hoping for some small roles in soap operas.
(I could be wrong, if anyone comes up with something funnier.)

So he is going to row a boat to the north pole next summer.

I dunno Sungam, could be true........ the story I heard..... Ice was recruited by Ben and Jerry's to develop and market a new flavor to be called Long Trail Fudge.

I was doing some genealogical research on the family and came across a British connection, Sir Kit Breaker. Does anyone know how he is 'connected'.

And there's rumour of another child, from another affair (long after the poor shepardess). A Hollywood starlette is what I've heard, but I don't have any proof . For some reason, no-one will talk about the child, Wind.
And speaking of Trail Breaker... he'd better pick up his pace soon! Lance and Jeff are about to catch him!!!

Trail Breaker yes ... as part of the normal weekend routine during Iditarod, Kitchen King woke me up with coffee and my laptop this morning. First thing I checked the GPS map. Looking over my shoulder while scratching my back KK asked:
"This Trail Braker, how come his mileage is that high compared to the other mushers??? Didn't he take his mandatories yet???"
