Good night!

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

As with all of you, my heart has been heavy all day. I've tried to step back, but keep returning. So like AUK, I'm going to tune out and turn in for the night. May tomorrow bring a little less sorrow and just a little something to lighten the load.

Good night, Moose, Tangles...to the rest of you, Good morning from the Interior of the Far North...you know, there's something about the night that is in many ways mysterious...something about the turning of the heavens, the cycle of light, stars, life. but you know, the night, it has a way of bringing the day or era to an end. The hope is that there is a new day coming...but you see, if it wasn't for the setting of yellow star of ours along with the turning of our global home, if it wasn't for all this, there would be no "new day" to look forward to...
